Browser
Support
Assothink works with most recent (published 2011 or later) modern browser with efficient Ajax support. This includes recent versions of:
- Google Chrome
- Opera
- Mozilla Firefox
Assothink has been tested on Linux, Apple OSX, Windows 7.
It works, but with low visibility and performance, on smartest smart phones. A reasonable experience with Assothink requires at least 1024x768 pixels.
Best
Assothink works with optimal speed and visibility on Google Chrome
Memory requirements
Assothink requires the use of some local storage (HTML 5 feature).
On some browser, the user is invited to accept some memory requirement by a prompt dialog. Just answer 'yes' to enable Assothink.
Opera
For unknown reasons, it is sometimes necessary to reload the assothink page to actually start the script.
Internet Explorer
For unknown reasons, Assothink hangs on IE 9 (Assothink client version C.99.32). The IE console reports a javascript error, but the js code (generated by GWT) works on other browsers.
Performance figures
Some comparison figures have been measured for the loading phase and active jelly cycle (all in msec)

These figures depends on mutiple facfors difficult to control and to isolate:
- javascript engine in browser
- rendering engine in browser
- CPU
- Grafic card
A globally satisfying config should provide
- load time (Q + F) in less than 5000 msec.
- cycle process (compute + draw) in less than 100 msec
Note: activating the "fast drawing" option in the speed control area significantly reduces draw times (divided by ..5..).
